Mrs Swain becomes PUMA Coach

We are delighted to announce that our very own Mrs Swain has been asked to join the PUMA National Coaching Team, which she has been pleased to accept.

Mrs Swain has had a fantastic competition career, being on the International circuit for over 15 years! In that time she earned many titles, medals and accolades including:

  • 2nd Degree Patterns World Champion and -42kg World Vice-Champion in 2006 Australia
  • 3rd Place -42kg sparring at the 2007 World Championships in Birmingham
  • 3rd Place 3rd Degree Patterns at the 2014 World Cup in Jamaica
  •  3rd Place in Traditional Sparring at the 2017 World Championships in Ireland
  • 3x European Vice-Champion in 4th-6th Degree Patterns (2016, 2018, 2019)
  • ITF-England Women’s Team Captain in 2019
The Squad have benefitted from Mrs Swain’s experience and knowledge for a long time as a senior squad member, and she’s regularly helped the coaching team with ringside coaching at competitions.
It is a fantastic achievement for Swain Taekwon-Do that two of our instructors are on PUMA’s National Coaching Team as well as being PUMA’s technical coordinators.

I’m sure you will all join me in wishing Mrs Swain a massive congratulations for this new appointment – she’s going to do a great job, and is an incredibly valuable asset to the PUMA Coaching Team.
